In the 1970’s, Diazteca began growing mangos in western Mexico. Today Diazteca grows 2000 acres of mango orchards located 75 miles south of Mazatlan “Pearl of the Pacific”, just outside Escuinapa, Sinaloa. In 1987, Diazteca began farming shrimp among the mango trees and, in 1991 built its shrimp processing and freezing facility one our away from the ponds. In 1987 also established its distribution warehouse in Rio Rico, Arizona today consisting of 25,000 square foot of cooling space. In 1997, Diazteca opened its second distributing warehouse in Hidalgo, Texas. Today Diazteca grows and distributes a variety of fresh and frozen fruits, vegetables, and seafood to the USA, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia.
The proximity of only 15 hours by truck of our production sites to our U.S. facilities provides customers a valuable and direct relationship to the source. |
